Jainism
Jain dharm - The origin of Jainism is unclear. Historians connect the origin of Jainism with the Indus valley civilisation. Jainism is the glory of the final stage of the purushaarthi souls of the Ancient Deity Religion. [The word] ‘Jain’ is derived from ‘Jiin’, who is the head of Jainism. His name is Jinendra. Jinendra means the one who conquered his indriyaan. So, the task of conquering the indriyaan is completed in the final purushaarth. This is why, it is the glory of the final purushaarth. Call it a religious community or a sect, Jainism is the only community in the world that doesn’t beg. They are karma yogi. Besides, everyone is prosperous. No one is poor. The reason is “Jahan sumati tahan sampatti nana, jahan kumati tahan vipatti nidhana (where there is wisdom, prosperity prevails and where there is stupidity, misfortune strikes.).” The Jain saints are very alert. As a result, the souls of Jainism stay happy.

Rishabhdev – In the Jain scriptures, Rishabhdev is the first tiirthankar; he is said to be the incarnation of God. No matter to what extent famines or floods occured [anywhere] in the world, no matter what happened, when he reached [those places], the state there used to turn peaceful. [His arrival] brought an end to famines [and] heavy rainfall. Whose influence is this? Is it the influence of the soul or the influence of someone else? It is the influence of the soul. The soul itself has to make such purushaarth and create such an atmosphere that all the souls, who come in that atmosphere and are influenced in this Confluence Age stay as its helpers for many births.

Similarities between the Ancient Religion and Jainism

Rishabhdev wore white clothes but it is mentioned in the Bhaagwat that Rishabhdev renounced clothing and became a digambar. The idols and pictures of Shiva’s naked, fearsome form of Natraj are also found. Therefore, the followers of the Ancient Religion relate those naked idols to Shiva Shankar, whereas the Jains relate them to Rishabh Shiva. It seems that Jainism isn’t a separate religion. Rishabhdev is mentioned in the scriptures of the Ancient Religion too. There are also many similarities between the Ancient Religion and Jainism, which are as follows:-
