4. Poverty, a multitude of sins: If human beings have to reincarnate in other species to suffer punishment for their sins, why are they sorrowful today? In fact, every human being should be happy. But it is seen today that human beings are carrying load like donkeys, they have become ferocious like lions and sorrow giving to one another like insects and spiders. To suffer the consequences of their sins, they become blind, lame, leper in the human species itself. They die on roadsides begging for a piece of bread in winters. And the dogs of the rich travel in cars. They are well taken care of. Today, dogs have milk and rice to eat whereas children cry out of hunger. Today, happiness is for those who have money. They consider this very world to be heaven. As for the poor, this world is not just hell but a horrible hell. The rich have different kinds of delicacies and the poor don’t get even a single piece of bread to eat. There are even such villages where people eat rotis made of mud to survive. Even poets have said about poverty “naahi daridra sam paatak puunjaa”. It means, when a person commits a lot of sins, he has to face poverty.
